FAIRFIELD, NJ – May 25th —More than 1,000 clients, sponsors, and guests jammed Manhattan’s Hammerstein Ballroom on May 24 for CoreMedia’s 20th Anniversary charity event, which raised more than $250,000 for the Good Tidings Foundation.
The centerpiece of the event, titled Response Responsibility, was a live performance by Platinum recording artist O.A.R., who were joined by warm-up DJs, The Knocks, to entertain an enthusiastic crowd that alternately danced and networked for more than four hours.
“We knew going in that we had set the bar quite high with our goal to raise at least $250,000 for Good Tidings Foundation”, said Glenn DeKraker, founder and CEO of CoreMedia. “Thanks to the amazing generosity of our clients, partners and other sponsors, we were able to hand a check for $256,000 to Good Tidings founder Larry Harper, and that doesn’t count the donations we received from attendees that evening and what we raised through our silent auctions. Good Tidings Foundation has long been a recipient of financial support from CoreMedia. In a recent project, they teamed up with PitCCh In, the charitable organization of New York Yankees pitching ace CC Sabathia, to renovate the baseball field at Vallejo High School in California, Sabathia’s alma mater.
Kerri Walsh, the two-time Olympic volleyball gold medalist, along with her charity, Chase the Stars Foundation, will use a portion of the funds raised from CoreMedia’s 20th Anniversary event to build a sand pit volleyball court after she returns from the Olympic Games this Fall.”
