Election Day is fast approaching, November 3rd is only a few short weeks away. Due to the ongoing pandemic, voting will look different this year. Many states have made significant changes to the voting process in order to accommodate the coronavirus pandemic. Each state has its own process and deadlines. Therefore, it is important for you to understand how your state’s process works and the key dates you need to know, to ensure your voice is heard.
Response Responsibility, CoreMedia’s non-profit arm, is in support of the New Jersey Institute for Social Justice’s INITIATIVE FOR CHANGE program to promote voter participation. On their website, you can find the answers to any question you may have concerning voting in the state of New Jersey.

New York has early in-person voting has a limited number of locations. Voting by absentee ballot is also an option. On Election Day polls are open from 6:00 AM until 9:00 PM.

- 10/24: Early voting begins
- 10/27: Absentee ballot request deadline
- 11/01: Early voting ends
- 11/03: Absentee ballot postmark deadline

- 10/27: Absentee Ballot Request Deadline Note: All active registered voters in New Jersey will automatically receive their ballots in the mail, at the address where the voter is registered.

- 11/10: Mail-in ballot must be received by your county’s Board of Elections
